Vol: 45, No.53 27TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME ( B) October 07 2018
Father almighty;/from there he will come to judge the living and the dead./I believe in the Holy Spirit,/the holy catholic Church,/the communion of saints,/the forgiveness of sins,/the resurrection of the body,/and life everlasting. Amen.
Cel: Dear brothers and sisters, the liturgy of today comes alive with the theme of marriage and family life. Jesus shows determination in affirming the indissolubility of marriage and exposes the futility of those who question it. Let us pray that we may remain docile to God’s plan for us, saying,
Response: Lord, help us to do your will.

1. That the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhort-ation on family the “Amoris Laetitia” of the Holy Father Pope Francis may be studied and its findings put into action by all families, we pray ...R/
2. That couples contemplating marriage may be given sufficient preparation so that they are equipped to handle marital responsibilities, we pray ...R/
3. As marriage usually takes place when the partners are young, sufficient support and encouragement may be given to the newly married by family and friends, we pray ...R/
4. That all married people may become aware that marriage is a sacrament which is a lifelong commitment willed by God and so should be maintained as such, we pray ...R/
5. As birth of children is the completion of the family their arrival may be considered a blessing from God and their upbringing a parental responsibility, we pray ...R/

(Pause to pray for local and personal needs)
Cel: God our Father, we thank you for the
love and care with which you created the human race. We thank you for constituting marriage as a sacrament thereby assuring the couples in marriage your divine protection. Give us the grace that we may always remain faithful to you. We make this prayer …
Accept, O Lord, we pray, the sacrifices instituted by your commands and, through the sacred mysteries, which we celebrate with dutiful service, graciously complete the sanctifying work by which you are pleased to redeem us. Through Christ our Lord.

PREFACE VI (Ordinary)
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God.
For in you we live and move and have our being, and while in this body we not only experience the daily effects of your care, but even now possess the pledge of life eternal.
For having received the first fruits of the Spirit, through whom you raised up Jesus from the dead, we hope for an everlasting share in the Paschal Mystery.
And so, with all the Angels, we praise you, as in joyful celebration we acclaim:
All: Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts…
The Lord is good to those who hope in him, to the soul that seeks him. (Lam 3:25)
Grant us, almighty God, that we may be refreshed and nourished by the Sacrament which we have received, so as to be transformed into what we consume. Through Christ our Lord.
