Vol: 45, No.25 EASTER SUNDAY ( B) April 01 2018
(The Creed is not said)
Cel: Dear friends, through the paschal mystery we have been buried with Christ in baptism, so that we may rise with him to a new life. Now that we have completed our Lenten observance, let us renew the promises we made in baptism when we rejected Satan and his works, and promised to serve God faithfully in his holy catholic Church. And so:
Cel: Do you reject sin, so as to live in the freedom of God’s children?
All: I do.
Cel: Do you reject the glamour of evil, and refuse to be mastered by sin?
All: I do.
Cel: Do you reject Satan, father of sin and prince of darkness?
All: I do.
Cel: Do you believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth?
All: I do.
Cel: Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died and was buried, rose from the dead, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father?
All: I do.
Cel: Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting?
All: I do.
Cel: God, the all-powerful Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, has given us a new birth by water and the Holy Spirit, and forgiven all our sins. May he also keep us faithful to our Lord Jesus Christ for ever and ever.
All: Amen.
Cel:Dear brothers and sisters, Jesus had taught his disciples that after having suffered and died he would rise again, and yet when it actually happened they failed to believe.
But the repeated appearances of Jesus transformed them into his witnesses. We pray that we too may become messengers of the risen Jesus, saying,
Response: Lord, make us your messengers.

  2. For people who experience difficulties in life due to sickness, loss of employ-ment or financial problems that they may regain the strength to carry on with their lives, we pray… R./
  3. For peace in the world that Christian thinkers, writers, editors and broad-casters may disseminate the message of Christ who loved all and forgave even those who inflicted indescribable pain on him, w we pray… R./
  4. That the new mediums of communi-cation such as the Internet may foster greater unity and solidarity among the people, we pray… R./
  5. For all of us present in this Eucharistic assembly that after having experi-enced the risen Lord and renewed our commitment we may fearlessly proclaim the message of Easter which alone can bring life to its fulfilment, we pray… R./
(Pray for community and personal needs)
Cel: God our Father, we thank you for the gift of your Son Jesus whom you raised from the dead. His glorification is the reward for the work of redemption he has accomplished in accordance with your will. Grant us the grace that we too may become living witnesses of the risen Lord. We make this prayer …
