ENTRANCE ANTIPHON
Your merciful love, O God, we have received in the midst of your temple. Your praise, O God, like your name, reaches the ends of the earth; your right hand is filled with saving justice. (Ps 47:10-11)
PENITENTIAL RITE
The main thrust of Jesus’ mission consists in the establishment of the kingdom of God. Simply put, the kingdom of God stands for God’s rule. All those who accept God’s rule can become the members of the kingdom. Once a person becomes part of the kingdom, he/she has to show commitment towards the kingdom values. Jesus is the primary example of a kingdom worker. Whenever people came to him Jesus taught them, healed them and provided food for them lest they return to their homes hungry. The greatness of Jesus consists in the fact that he enables his disciples, not just his apostles, but a larger number of them to do the same work of teaching and healing. The disciples are able to emulate the Master and return joyful because they were successful in their mission. What am I doing to enhance the kingdom of God? (Pause)

and Saints,/and you,/my brothers and sisters,/to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Glory to God in the highest...

FIRST READING

“Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice with her in joy, all you who mourn over her; that you may suck and be satisfied with her consoling breasts; that you may drink deeply with delight from the abundance of her glory.” For thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will extend prosperity to her like a river, and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing stream; and you shall suck, you shall be carried upon her hip, and dandled upon her knees. As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall
